I started of, knowing nothing about computers except the basics. I never knew that just from a project, I would learn infinite facts on computers, the fact that there is more to computers then to what meets the eye.
Just like how humans grow, my knowledge did. I asked my dad for things I didn't know like what a BIOS is. He told me to wait there. When he returned, he was carrying an opened up CPU. It was the most amazing thing I had ever seen in my life. Did you know that there are fans on top of a microprocessor to help cool it down. I put in most of the information he had told me.
My teacher once said, never trust information that other people give you no matter who they are. I decided to check the information my dad told me. It was correct and Wikipedia was so informative that I decided that I should also put some facts in from Wikipedia, after changing the words and making it easier to understand. I finished my presentation.

A computer is a technological device which helps us to process a numerous amounts of tasks. There are many parts to a computer ; some essential while others optional.
A monitor is an essential part of a complete desktop. It displays the tasks you're doing now, like how the Smart Board right now is displaying my presentation.
A modem is what provides users with the internet. It is not essential but most people have one.
A system unit, also called a CPU, is the brain of the whole computer. It is where your data is stored and it also executes the tasks you tell it to. Without the CPU you can't do anything on the computer, making it a definite essential.
A mouse and a keyboard are also essentials to a computer. A mouse, also known as a cursor, is what makes you check out files and without it, it would be difficult to operate a computer. The keyboard is what gives us the opportunity to type in words, or characteristics, into the screen.
A speaker and printer are both optional on the computer. A speaker is a device which allows more than one person to listen to either movies or songs. A printer allows us to print out documents. This device is handy for businessmen.

Personal computers are the most well known computers around the world. They are simple to operate and are considerably cheap.
Minicomputers are more powerful than PCs and can be used by more than one person.
Mainframes are computers which are so powerful they have a whole room filled with hardrives, rectangular prisms which store data.

Computers have developed from large bulky screens and a lot of hardwares to slim designed laptops, Ultrabooks to finally touch holograms.

The first thing that happens as soon as you turn on the PC, is that the Power Supply bursts electricity through the CPU 'making it come into life.' Now that there is power in this technological device, the microprocessor (a chip which is basically the brain of everything you do on the computer) instructs the BIOS (Basic input/ Output System) to do a power-on self test (POST).
In the POST they check if parts of a computer are working and if not the CPU beeps. One example is, the graphic card isn't working, then Beeps like this are made. If the BIOS chip has found no problems as such, it begins to check if the hardwares, like a mouse and monitor are responding. After finishing all that the password part loads.
