One of the most iconic images of the 1970s. He showed off his bellbottoms in 77 for Saturday Night Fever, and instantly became a star worldwide. The movie supported the disco look. Halston
Created almost every popular dress seen on the dance floors. His designs were perfect for dancing because of their draped and free moving construction without buttons or zippers. Diane von Furstenburg
The designer who made the jersey wrap dress. She influenced all dresses by establishing a standard for ease and comfort in womens clothing. Disney World- Disney opened their second park in Orlando FL. in October of 1971. Their opening influenced a lot of children's wear in the 1970s.
