This is a highly recommended program to participate in as a first-time Freshman, and is a great way to ease the transition to college.

UTA Housing
If you are interested in living on campus you must complete your housing application forms as soon as possible.
Ideal Time Frame:
Between November and February (Fall Term)
The Residence Hall and Apartment applications are separate.
Housing will start sending out contracts in February and you will have four days to respond. You will have to call the Housing office to have a new contract sent if you do not respond within four days.

Complete FAFSA
Confirm receipt of FAFSA results
Check to see if additional documents are requested (Verification Forms, etc.)
Read all letters and emails from the Financial Aid Office
Follow-up if you haven't heard anything within 2-3 weeks of submitting documents
Review your financial award through your MyMav Account (Student Center- "Finances")
Accept and/or Decline your financial aid (Make sure you do not decline aid that you actually need)
If received a Merit-Based Scholarship- You must accept it through Schol. website before May 1st!!
TSI Assessment Test
Every student is required to take the state required TSI Assessment Test before registering for classes unless you meet the exemption requirements.

Math Placement Test (MPT)
The UT Arlington Mathematics department requires a placement test prior to enrolling for certain lower-division courses. All students are encouraged to take the MPT, but only Engineering and Science majors are required to take it.
