Skeletal muscle cells make up all the structural parts of skeletal muscles, attached to tendons. Skeletal muscle cells are made of long multinucleated cells called myofibers, which are highly differentiated, so therefore, uniquely made.
How they work
If you did not have your muscles, you would not be able to do anything. Not even live, because your heart is a muscle too. Every physical action you perform is carried out by your muscles after processed by the brain. Skeletal muscles attach to the skeleton and are what is increased when you exercise. Skeletal muscle cells are controlled by the nervous system.
What they're made up of
Skeletal muscle is made up of myocytes which are muscle cells. They are formed through fusion of developmental myoblasts during a process called myogenisis.
The skeleton muscle is also called the striated muscle. Because when you view it under a polarized light or stained with an indicator, you can see alternating stripes of light and dark."

How Structure and Function Relate
A way that the structure and function relate is that SkMC are controlled by the nerveous system, and as a result, the control of SkMC is voluntary.
