1760 1765 1770 1775 1780 1785 The Proclamation of 1763 Cause; The French and Indian War Effect: The colonists got mad and the king was in debt What it was: A promise to the natives that the colonists couldn't go past the Appalachian mountains. The Sugar Act Cause: The king was raising money for England Effect: The colonists got mad and did a boycott What it was: A tax on the sugar that was imported from England to the colonies 1764 The Revolutionary War Timeline The Stamp Act Cause: To raise money for the british soldiers on the frontier. Effect: The colonists created the Sons of Liberty and The Stamp Act Congress. What it was: A law that every piece of paper had to have a stamp that needed to be payed for. The Townshend Acts Cause: To raise funds for England Effect: A boycott What it was: A tax on glass, led, and tea. Boston Massacre Cause: The tension between the colonists and british soldiers. Effect: It unified the colonies. What it was :The first bloodshed of the conflict. Five people died. Intolerable Acts Cause: The Boston Tea Party Effect: It unified and
organized the colonies What it was: The king closed the Port of Boston until the tea was paid for. The Declaration of Independence What it was: A letter to the king declaring independence. Cause: The king's mistreatment to the colonies. Effect: The Revolutionary War Battle of Trenton
1676 The Americans were victorious. They took control of Trenton and increased in confidence Battle of Monmouth The Americans won. This battle increased the confidence of the Americans Battle of Savannah The british won. The Americans lost 5,400 men, 4 ships, and a military arsenal. Battle of King's Mountain The Americans won. It was a turning point for the Americans in the south Battle of Yorktown AMERICANS WON!!! This battle ended the war!!! The Treaty of Paris The king of England gave America it's independence.
