Part I: The Blueprint of Truth
Transcript of Part I: The Blueprint of Truth
The scientific model proposes a hypothesis, and then tests that hypothesis by making certain predictions, hoping to validate it.
“Scientific models are used to explain and predict the behaviour of real objects or systems and are used in a variety of scientific disciplines, ranging from physics and chemistry to ecology and the Earth sciences.”
What Criteria Do People Use to Determine Truth?
Evolution or Creation Debate
Both are stunning claims!
Since the first augur peered into a sheep’s entrails or the alchemist his crystal ball, humans have been searching for a reliable way to divine the future. In the 21st century the quest has been taken up by science.
In the case of major natural events like earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, violent floods, disease epidemics, tsunami, drought and soil erosion, failure to predict the future can mean death, suffering and loss for thousands.
These events are hard to study because they occur over long time scales, in hidden places and in sudden, erratic episodes. But they all have telltale buildup signs which, correctly interpreted, can help us to zero in on the timing and scale of the impending event – and provide those who might be affected with early warning. ---Cosmos Magazine
As scientific Truth is determined by its predictive power, so religious Truth
can only be determined by it's predictive power.
Challenge of the Bible
I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them. Isaiah 42:8-9.

: The strength of the scientific model
is based upon its “predictive power,” that is, the degree
of accuracy of the predictions made concerning the
hypothesis. The prediction must be able to be reproduced
and must be consistent. The prediction must be made at
a time when it would not have been known to be correct.
If the prediction is falsified, proven to be untrue, it is back
to the drawing board. Scientific ideas possessing no
predictive power are considered “conjecture” instead of
Produce your cause, saith the LORD; bring forth
your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob. Let
them bring them forth, and shew us what shall happen:
let them shew the former things, what they be, that
we may consider them, and know the latter end of
them; or declare us things for to come. Shew the
things that are to come hereafter, that we may know
that ye are gods: yea, do good, or do evil, that we
may be dismayed, and behold it together.” Isaiah 41:21-23.
“Like most other atheists, I am not insane, and I don’t like pain. Believe me, I don’t want to suffer in anyone’s hell for all eternity. If there were just one precise and detailed prediction that came true and could be explained as the work of a god, no matter if it were in the Bible, Koran, Torah, Bhagavad Gita, Dianetics, David Koresh’s diary, and so on, I would not ignore or deny it.
Douglas E. Krueger
What is Atheism: A Short Introduction, presents the following five criteria to judge so called prophecy, which he is sure in his own mind, does not really exist:
"Some criteria are needed in order to distinguish cases of lucky guesses from those of true prophecy. Let us define a genuine prophecy as one that satisfies the following five criteria:
1. The prophecy must be clear, and it must contain sufficient detail to make its fulfillment by a wide variety of possible events unlikely.
2. The event that can fulfill the prophecy must be unusual or unique.
3. The prophecy must be known to have been made before the event that is supposed to be its fulfillment.
4. The event foretold must not be of the sort that could be the result of an educated guess.
5. The event that fulfills the prophecy cannot be staged, or the relevant circumstances manipulated, by those aware of the prophecy in such a way as to intentionally cause the prophecy to be fulfilled."
He goes on to state:
“Unfortunately, for the Christian, not a single case of supposed bible prophecy can satisfy the criteria.”. Page 98.
The Greatest Evidence of the Supernatural
How Do Scientists Predict Future Events?
Based on established or discovered laws of nature, and probability. It is Scientific prediction. Explainable by Science.
*What if there were predictions that Science could not explain?
*Prediction not based upon any known natural law?
(of a manifestation or event) attributed to some force beyond scientific understanding or the laws of nature.
1. Establish that it was predicted before the event
came to pass.
2. The fulfillment could not have be manipulated by an individual or group of individuals.
3. Must not be ambiguous, or open to multiple interpretations.
4. Contains a testable "time" element.
5. No scientific explanation can exist to explain its fulfillment. Must be truly supernatural.

Without the element of genuine prophecy, religion is simply an unwarranted belief system, just as science without the predictive element is not real science.
The Prophecy of Daniel Chapter 2
Skeptics and liberal scholars date the book about 165 BC.
Conservative Biblical Scholars date it at 6th Century BC.
The king answered and said to the Chaldeans, The thing is gone from me: if ye will not make known unto me the dream, with the interpretation thereof, ye shall be cut in pieces, and your houses shall be made a dunghill. But if ye shew the dream, and the interpretation thereof, ye shall receive of me gifts and rewards and great honour: therefore shew me the dream, and the interpretation thereof.
And in the second year of the reign of Nebuchadnezzar Nebuchadnezzar dreamed dreams, wherewith his spirit was troubled, and his sleep brake from him. Then the king commanded to call the magicians, and the astrologers, and the sorcerers, and the Chaldeans, for to shew the king his dreams. So they came and stood before the king. And the king said unto them, I have dreamed a dream, and my spirit was troubled to know the dream. Then spake the Chaldeans to the king in Syriack, O king, live for ever: tell thy servants the dream, and we will shew the interpretation.
The Chaldeans answered before the king, and said, There is not a man upon the earth that can shew the king's matter: therefore there is no king, lord, nor ruler, that asked such things at any magician, or astrologer, or Chaldean.
And it is a rare thing that the king requireth, and there is none other that can shew it before the king, except the gods, whose dwelling is not with flesh.
Then Daniel answered with counsel and wisdom to Arioch the captain of the king's guard, which was gone forth to slay the wise men of Babylon:
He answered and said to Arioch the king's captain, Why is the decree so hasty from the king? Then Arioch made the thing known to Daniel.
Then Daniel went in, and desired of the king that he would give him time, and that he would shew the king the interpretation.
Then Arioch brought in Daniel before the king in haste, and said thus unto him, I have found a man of the captives of Judah, that will make known unto the king the interpretation.
The king answered and said to Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, Art thou able to make known unto me the dream which I have seen, and the interpretation thereof?
Daniel answered in the presence of the king, and said, The secret
Thou, O king, sawest, and behold a great image. This great image, whose brightness was excellent, stood before thee; and the form thereof was terrible.
This image's head was of fine gold, his breast and his arms of silver, his belly and his thighs of brass,
His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay.
Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.
Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.
This is the dream; and we will tell the interpretation thereof before the king.
Thou, O king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory.
And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath he given into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all. Thou art this head of gold. Daniel 2:37-38
Kingdom of Babylon
605 BC to 539 BC
And after thee shall arise another
kingdom inferior to thee...
Medo Persian Empire: 539 BC to 331 BC
and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth.
Greece Dominated from 331 BC to 168 BC.
And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise. v 40
168 BC to 476 AD
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5
And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. 1 Corinthians 11:24
And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters' clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay. And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken. And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men:
but they shall not cleave one to another
, even as iron is not mixed with clay.
476 to Present: Europe has never again been one kingdom, under one ruler.
And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.
Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure. Daniel 2:44-45
In a year to be called 1969 by the people of tomorrow, two men named Neil and Buzz will ascend to the Moon and walk upon its surface. A metallic bird named Eagle will serve as their chariot and they will do a thing called EVA while wearing white. Upon their heads will be large sturdy hats. Shields of gold will protect their eyes, The people of the Earth will cheer them from afar. Upon the return of the two men, plus one named Michael, may will shout the name Apollo. As the Lord saw their flag standing in the stillness of the lunar landscape, he did smile.

"Americans have more skepticism than confidence in global warming, the age of the Earth and evolution and have the most trouble believing a Big Bang created the universe 13.8 billion years ago."
"About 4 in 10 say they are not too confident or outright disbelieve that the earth is warming, mostly a result of man-made heat-trapping gases, that the Earth is 4.5 billion years old or that life on Earth evolved through a process of natural selection, though most were at least somewhat confident in each of those concepts. But a narrow majority — 51 percent — questions the Big Bang theory.
Those results depress and upset some of America's top scientists, including several Nobel Prize winners, who vouched for the science in the statements tested, calling them settled scientific facts."
If gods are real and they want to impress all
of us with their prophecies, then why don’t they
make the prediction obvious to everyone, including
well-meaning skeptics? Imagine, for example, if a
holy book was discovered in the 1990s and contained
the following ancient prophecy confirmed to have been
written down more than three thousand years ago:
Now if a believer can show me a prophecy with that kind of detail, I’m on board with their religion.
Sign me up.
But such predictions simply do not exist. The ones we have are vague or too easily explained as events that could have occurred without the involvement of a god.” 50 reasons people give for believing in a god. p261.
Guy P. Harrison:
50 reasons people give for believing in a god
My God is obvious
Archeologocial discoveries prove my god exists
Only my god can make me feel significant
Our world is too beautiful to be an accident.
My God created the universe
Believing in my god makes me happy.
Better safe than sorry.
A sacred book proves my god is real.
My god answers prayers.
My god sacrificed his only son for me.
I don’t want to go to hell.
I feel my god when I pray.
I need my god to protect me.
I want eternal life.
without my god we would have no sense of right and wrong.
my god makes me feel like I am a part of something bigger than myself
My religion makes more sense than all the others
My god changes lives
Intelligent design proves my god is real.
Very smart people believe in my god
No one has ever disproved the existence of my god.
People have gone to heaven and returned.
My god inspires people.
My religion is old so it must be true.
Someone I trust told me my god is real.
The earth is perfectly tuned to support life.
My god changed my life.
Prophecies prove my god exists.
They answered again and said, Let the king tell his servants the dream, and we will shew the interpretation of it. The king answered and said, I know of certainty that ye would gain the time, because ye see the thing is gone from me. But if ye will not make known unto me the dream, there is but one decree for you: for ye have prepared lying and corrupt words to speak before me, till the time be changed: therefore tell me the dream, and I shall know that ye can shew me the interpretation thereof. Daniel 2:1-9
Then Daniel went to his house, and made the thing known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions:
That they would desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning this secret; that Daniel and his fellows should not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.
Then was the secret revealed unto Daniel in a night vision. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven. Daniel 2:14-19
For this cause the king was angry and very furious, and commanded to destroy all the wise men of Babylon.
And the decree went forth that the wise men should be slain; and they sought Daniel and his fellows to be slain. Daniel 2:10-13
which the king hath demanded cannot the wise men, the astrologers, the magicians, the soothsayers, shew unto the king;
But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these;
As for thee, O king, thy thoughts came into thy mind upon thy bed, what should come to pass hereafter: and he that revealeth secrets maketh known to thee what shall come to pass. v25-29
The government of Babylon became more
