to die once,
and after that comes When we were utterly helpless,
Christ came at just the right time
and died for us sinners.

Now, most people
would not be willing to die for an upright person,
though someone might perhaps be willing
to die for a person who is especially good.

But God showed his great love for us
by sending Christ to die for us
while we were still sinners.

And since we have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God’s condemnation.

For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son.

we might become the righteousness of God. ...now, once for all time,

I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness
of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord,

but that which is through faith in Christ.
Phil 3:7-10 For God loved the world so much
that he gave his one and only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him will not perish
but have eternal life...

There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him.
But anyone who does not believe in him
has already been judged
for not believing in God’s one and only Son.

And the judgment is based on this fact: God’s light came into the world,
but people loved the darkness
more than the light,
for their actions were evil.

...anyone who believes in God’s Son has eternal life. Anyone who doesn’t obey the Son will never experience eternal life but remains under God’s angry judgment.
John 3:16-36 Now repent of your sins
and turn to God,
so that your sins
may be wiped away.
Acts 3:19 the wages of sin is death,
but the free gift of God
is eternal life
through Christ Jesus our Lord. what do you gain
if you win the whole world
but lose your own soul?
