Super Subtraction!
1. A fruit basket contains apples and oranges. The total number of fruits in the basket is 85. If 24 of them are apples, find the number of oranges.
2. A test was given. The student who scored at least 75 was declared first in the class. Flora got 63 on her test. By how much did she miss first place?
3. Charlie borrowed $45 from David. If David had $89, how much does he have now?
4. A specific task requires 58 hours to complete. If John worked for 16 hours,
how many more hours does he need to work to complete the task?
5. Emelia had 230 pens in her collection. Throughout the year she loaned some of her pens to various friends who at times, did not return them. At the end of the year she was left with 156 pens. How many pens did she loose over the year?

3. Te Awa Syndicate are taken to a field trip in 13 buses. Each bus can accommodate 15 students. If all buses are completely filled, what is the number of students who participated in the field trip?
4. Mrs Mackey bought three pairs of shoes for $90. What is the cost of each pair of shoes?
5. Mr C bought 64 candies and gave 4 candies to everyone in his class. How many students
are in Mr C's class?
6. Miss Woulfe formed 7 equal groups out of 42 students. Find the number of students in each group.
7. Miss Lester collected 60 coins and equally distributes them in 4 boxes. Find the number
of coins in each box.
8. Mrs Picard organised 60 trees to be delivered to TAPS. The trees came in 5 boxes. If there were the same amount of trees in each box, how many trees were in each?
