PROBLEM STATEMENT
The researchers tasked is to find out the problem ASAHI ELECTRICAL MANUFACTURING CORPORATION frequently encounters in concerning of producing WF - 627 model Electric fan. The problems that typically transpire are vibration, reject fan guards, Rebalance, switch defects, scratch blade, off spoke, etc..

The researchers focused merely in the problem that gives the highest rejects in WF - 627 model of Electric fan parts.

> Rotor Shaft is in Good Condition

REJECT FAN GUARDS
ACCEPT:
>At least 1kg or less force exerted using push force and the grill wont loose its alignment
>If grill remains intact or undamaged.
>When piling, it should be 3 stack of bundle were as:
(20 pcs = 1 bundle, 1 stack = 3-4 bundles)
REJECT:
>At exact 1kg of Push force and the Grill will loose it would be automatically Rejected.
>Due to high Pressure weight, which cause the grill to deform and damaged.
>When piling, requirements are not considered according to the number of Piles and Bundles.

OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY

The objective of the study is to reduce at least 10% of the total percentage rejects or defects in WF - 627 model electric fan parts.

The researchers aim to improve the quality of the product by detecting the sources of defects and provide necessary solution to these problems.

3 Types to accept and reject a Rebalance blade:

Type 1 – Rejected if the balance is hard to balance and if there are more than 2 stickers attached in the blade.
Type 2 – It is Acceptable if there are 1 to 2 stickers attached in the blade but there are 2 cases:
case 1: Reject if not suitably coupled with the rotor shaft.
case 2: Rework if the product has only minor problems that can still be fixed.
Type 3 – Perfect if there are no stickers attached in the blade.
Note: Stickers are used to rebalance the blade.

1984 - ASAHI Manufacturing Corporation was established in San Juan, Manila. It was considered a family business corporation composed of four investors. The whole family worked together and helped run the business and hired only four workers and one driver.

1986 - Due to the great peso devaluation, investors pulled-out. Since then the company is 100% owned by the present management.
1993 - It has acquired the PS Mark license of QUALITY for its ASAHI brand electric fans from the BPS.

1999 - Due to the growing demand of their products, a new plant site was built in Pasig to house the assembly line, warehouse and delivery.

2001 - It has aligned its quality management system to ISO 9002:1994. The company is now working its PS incense to manufacture other products and re-new its PS Mark in compliance with the ISO 9001:2000 quality management system- Requirements.

2002 – They acquired additional quality control instruments like balancing machine and in-line testing machines.
- they also acquired 11 units of delivery trucks. Personnel also tremendously grew to 280 to cope up with the increasing market requirements and with the introduction of many new other product lines.

2003 - To strengthen top management commitment, ASAHI launched a slogan “BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE “to remind every employee to perform best and maintain our objective to ensure customer satisfaction.
