SS6G14 The student will describe the cultural characteristics of people who live in Australia the standard of living and the literacy rate are two things that if the literacy rate is high so is the standard of living and if it isn`t then they are both going to be low Australia is has one of the highest literacy rates in the world so that means that they also have a high standard of living. age 15 and over can read and write Total population: 99% Male: 99% Female: 99% the standard of living in australia has grown since the europeans settled there. "World Bank has acknowledged Australia as one of the richest countries of the world in 1995." In 2006 the GDP of australia was $1 trillion. "The World Health Organization also certifies this country for having a very low crime rate than most parts of world." The growth of the economy is about 3.3 % per year. the children and adults have a very good edudcaion because of their standard of living
