Was he a good emperor?
Yes, because in actuality Antoninus Pius was not Hadrian’s initial choice; he wasn’t even his second. In 136 CE, with Hadrian in failing health and on the verge of suicide, he realized that without sons of his own his only option was to adopt. He chose a consul, Lucius Ceionius Commodus, as his heir.
Was he a good emperor?
He was a very good emperor because his rule was marred by incessant warfare and the tiresome task of dealing with a new fanatical religious sect known alternately as Nazarenes or Christians who refused to take part in the festivals of Rome and, further, would not honor the gods of the state. Aurelius’ persecutions of the early Christians, though harsh to a modern-day understanding, were considered necessary by the emperor in order to keep the peace and maintain order in the city of Rome.
Is he a good Emperor?
We think he was a very good Emperor because he spent a lot of time with the people. He built many things inside of the city for the citizens there and all in all, he was a honorable man.
Bad Emperors.
Good Emperors.
Was he a good emperor?
We think he wasn't a good emperor because he was a mean person. He over taxed people. He was liked well by lower class people and soldiers, but loathed by the senate. He used to dress like Hercules to associate himself with the god Jupiter. He fought to prove he was god like but in real life he wasn't.
He was a roman emperor from 81 to 96 AD. He was the third and last emperor of the Flavian Dynasty. He was born on October 24, 51 AD and he was assassinated on September 18, 96 AD. His parents are Vepasian and Domitalla the Elder. His siblings are Titus and Dimitilla the younger. His spouse was Domitia Longina.
Was he a good emperor?
No, we believe he was not a good emperor because he was hated by the aristocracy. His military and foreign policy was not uniformly successful. He lost two legions and many other troops.
Was he a good emperor?
We think no, because he didn't use his power in the right way. He started out bad so he thought he had to do something to improve his standing to Roman subjects, so his grandmother was going to have him marry a girl but he messed up and had to divorce her and he kept getting married to a lot of girls.
Also known as Heliogabulas. He was a Roman Emperor from 218 to 222. A member of the Severan Dynasty, he was Syrian being the 2nd son of Julia Soagemisis and Sextus Varius Marcellus. He was born in 203 AD assassinated on March 11, 222 ad. His spouse was Annia Fausting.
