FAQs
Q: What five adjectives would best describe your design?
A: Complex, informative, innovative, creative, technologically advanced.
Q: What makes your design innovated?
A: What makes the design innovated is the use of higher technology that is useful and easy to use.
Q: What was the inspiration for your design?
A: The inspiration was the lockers we have now and the fact that we do not get lockers until 8th grade.
Q: What features of your design do you think will most excite and inspire the students? Why?
A: I think the fingerprint activator and the voice control is what will excite the students most because it gives them someone to talk to and someone to help guide and remind them what is going on that day, just to make sure no assignments are late.
Q: How is your design going to prepare students for work, college, and career?
A: The design will help prepare students for the day because the voice and screen inside will make sure they know what is happening that day, what is going on, and what needs to be done.

Problem

The problem that I am trying to solve is for the students individually. To solve this problem, I will
design
a product with
foresight
. They need a stopping point at some time in the day. They need a place to go to. They need a place to store all of their supplies in, so they don’t have to carry everything around. Also, a reminder for what is coming up next, or what to have, or what to do would be useful. Seventh grade in 2015 is hard enough. Just imagine how much higher the expectations and curriculum will be. We all need some downtime during our busy day.
This is what a lot of us feel like at school or work.
Solution
The solution to the problem is simply a locker. However, I am not talking about your average high school locker. Oh no. This
innovation
is much more. This locker is fingerprint activated, voice controlled, and useful in so many ways. This locker talks back to you, in a good way. The voice inside, which you select, reminds you what you need for the day, what you will be doing, and where you will be going. It consists of storage compartments, screens to project notifications, reminders, and slideshows. There is also a cylinder tube that allows you to roll up your homework assignments, or insert your flash drives, so that when you push a button that guides where the assignment is going, your homework will deliver itself to the correct teacher. That’s one less late assignment! This locker is very
user friendly
and great for both you and me!
I think the year of 2050 will be amazing. With the help of technology, our future will be bright!
