What brand of waterproof mascara is most efficient?
Independent Variable: Brands of waterproof mascara
Dependent Variable: Mass of eyelashes in grams
Control: Eyelashes; Amount of mascara; Amount of water; Temperature of water
Mascara is a product used by a over half of women in America at 65%. Mascara is used to darken, thicken, lengthen, or define eyelashes. There are many various types of mascara, one of these is waterproof. Waterproof mascara was first introduced in 1938, but because of its high chemical content and unpleasant smell, it was recalled. It made a reappearance in the 1960's and has been around ever since. Waterproof mascara does basically what it says, it is water resistant. My partner and I are going to test 3 different brands of waterproof mascara to determine which brand is most efficent when it comes to resisting water.

Out of the brands that we tested, we discovered that Covergirl Lashblast is the most efficient brand of waterproof mascara. My hypothesis was proven correct as it was that Covergirl Lashblast would be most efficient brand. The only thing that I would change about the experiment would be the number of brands we tested. I would test more brands and run more trials of each brand to get the most accurate results.
When we calculated the results we made sure to keep a close eye on the eyelashes. We tested the Great Lash brand first and weren't surprised when it only lasted 1 minute and 56 seconds. Our theory was that either Maybelline or Covergirl would be the most efficient which was proven correct with Covergirl lasting 6 minutes and 35 seconds compared to Maybelline's 4 miutes and 17 seconds.
