About Pop Art
Pop art was motivated by big serious things that happen in the 50s.

After the World War 2, many artistswere changing their style and changing their painting color to make the propaganda to be more interesting.
Then the artist started to draw everyday object, like soup cans, cars, delicious foods, and also some famous celebrities.

Wayne Thiebaud
His is the most famous painter on drawing the cakes, desserts, toys and lipsticks.
When he was 6 moths, his family moved to Long Beach in California. He worked in New York and Hollywood for ten years, and being a cartoonist and advertisement design. He taught in Sacramento State College at 1951 to 1950.

When Andy Warhol at age 8, he got a fatal disease called St. Vitus's Dance. This can cause his nervous system get hurt and he bedridden for few months.
In 1942, when he was 14 years old, his father died by jaundiced liver.
During this time, his mother gave him a first art lesson. This is the most favorite time in his childhood.

Keith Haring
Keith Haring went to Ivy School of Professional Art after he graduated at 1976, but after two semesters he found out that were not the art that he expect for. So he quiet.
He came to New York at the latest of 1978, and then he found an art community and be friends with the artists. The energy and spirit of art in here touch him.
While he was doing the public art, he met Andy Warhol. The art that Warhol do was touch him again, so Haring decide to do a truly public art.
This is the art that Keith Haring did. Now, people using the texture to print on the cloth.
