A FORM OF PHYSICAL ACTIVITY TO IMPROVE HEALTH AND PHYSICAL FITNESS.
Physical fitness is made up of a number of physical qualities which work together. It is divided into:

Health Related Fitness – Is the level of physical fitness which we all need to enjoy good health.

Skill Related Fitness – Is the level physical fitness necessary for regular sporting activity.
The ability to exercise the entire body for long periods of time.
The amount of force a muscle can exert against resistance.
The ability to use voluntary muscles repeatedly without getting tired.
A range of movement possible at a joint
The percentage of body weight which is fat, muscle and bone.
The ability to change position of the body quickly and under control.
The ability to retain the centre of mass (gravity) of the body above the base of support.
The ability to use two or more body parts together.
The ability to execute strength performances quickly.
(Power = Strength x Speed)
The time between the a stimulus and movement.
The rate at which an individual is able to perform a movement or cover a distance in a period of time
