Process spanned 34 years for all 50 states to establish LPC / LPCC licensure from 1976 to 2009.

As of 2013 in CO, 47% of mental health professionals were LPCs.

In CA, LPCCs licensed in 2013 grew from 285 to over 1,200 in 2015.
