"Be Proactive" Two Types of
People in this
World Proactive People:
-Make choices based on values
-Think before they act
-Recognize they can't control everything
-Recognize they can only control how they react Reactive People:
-Act on impulse
-Don't think things through
-Do whatever they please Being Proactive is the key to unlocking all habits What Reactivity Does:
-Takes away your power and gives it to something else
-This happens due to reactive people relying on specific things
Ex: Being friends, boyfriend/girlfriend, school (ect. ect.) centered Proactivity mainly is:
-Being a can do person
-Taking responsibility for your life
-Think inside out
-Turning setbacks into triumphs Ways to help your proactivity:
-Renew yourself
-Be honest
-Be gentle with yourself
-Set your own circumstances More ways to be Proactive:
-Evaluate yourself
-Keep promises to yourself
-Do random acts of service
-Tap into your talents Turning setbacks into triumphs is ioring the negative things and focusing on what you're going to do to turn them around Thinking inside out means that you have to be able to change yourself before you can change others Becoming centered on some things can negatively affect your proactivity Examples of things people become cnetered on:
-Parents
-School
-Work -Sports
-Self
-Material
-Relationship
And many others Being Can-DO Can-Do people are always out there doing work or helping the community They're also persistant and not ones to easily give into failure Taking Responsibility For Your Life The key to taking responsibility for your life is to not be a victim and doing what you need to do when you need to do it Not being a victim is prety much not blaming your problems on other people, things, or events when you could've just fixxed the problem Doing what you need to do when you need to do it is simply just do what you have to do whenever it needs to be done An Example of Not Taking Responsibility:
You had some homework last night, but yesterday after school you were busy with important events, but there were breaks to have possibly done it, or some could've been skipped. So you don't have today's homework. What Should've Been Done:
You should've done your best to do your homework when you had your breaks, because at least having some done is better than none, or have asked your parents to skip something so you could've done it. Outcome:
If you're like most people you'd be a victim and blame the events for not having your homework, and not mention the possible times you had to do your homework, or cram to do it last minute. Thinking Inside Out It affects your everday tasks in a big way such as how you act and learn Things that Help Your Proactivity Some Things you Should Know The only thing you control is how you react to things. We cant control what happens to us so try and make the best fo everything Another things is that your enviroment does influence you, but its your choice to let it influence you Things That Will Hurt your Proactivity What to Remember Proactivity is another key to happiness Proactivity is something that will help you in the long run and for the rest of your life Enjoy your new proactive lives!!!
