Transcript of Greenhouse Gases
Although greenhouse gases make up only about 1 percent of the Earth's atmosphere, they regulate our climate by trapping heat and holding it in a kind of warm-air blanket that surrounds the planet Occurences Location Even though only a tiny amount of the gases in Earth’s atmosphere are greenhouse gases, they have a huge effect on climate.
Sometimes during this Century, the amount of the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is expected to double. Other greenhouse gases like methane and nitrous oxide are increasing as well. The quantity of greenhouse gases is increasing as fossil fuels are burned, releasing the gases and other air pollutants into the atmosphere. Greenhouse gases also make their way to the atmosphere from other sources. Farm animals, for example, release methane gas as they digest food. Prevention/Early Warnings We can see before Greenhouse Gases appear because Vegetables especially Tomatoes and Cucumbers will start to die. That is one of the early warning to tell that Greenhouse Gas is going to happen. To prevent this from not happening we can close all the factories that produce gas because those factories polute the atmosphere cause the greenhouse gases References http://www.agu.org/news/press/pr_archives/2013/2013-12.shtml Chosen Example People It usually happens all around the world, but especially in areas where there is a lot of industrial factories. Frequency It happens almost everyday when factories are open because factories produce gas. Greenhouse-gas emissions raise extreme temperatures in China on April 9, 2013. "There is a warming in extreme temperatures over China, and this warming cannot be explained by natural variation," said Qiuzi Han Wen, an author on this paper and a researcher at the Institute of Atmospheric Physics in Beijing, China. Wen asserts greenhouse gases already in the atmosphere will continue to affect China's climate for years to come, regardless of mitigation measures taken to reduce future emissions. "As a result, we expect warming in China will continue into the future, and consequently warming in extreme temperatures will also continue," Wen said. "This will have huge implications for China, as heat waves and drought have already become more and more of an issue in our country. "There are heat waves almost everywhere in China and we're seeing more droughts," Zhang said. "China is getting much warmer, and people are very concerned."
