Climate
Land forms/Abiotic Factors
Food chain within Biome
Symbiotic relationships
Between herbivores like cows and bacteria in their stomach. Since grasslands is a landful of grass and is so celulose-rich area, the bacteria inside of the herbivores help them. break it down for them to use the nutrients.

If herbivores didn't have the bacteria they wouldn't be able to break down the grass which would result in thus to eat fully focus of it's stem.
Competitive Relationships
predator-prey: lions and zebras- lions hunt zebras for food. (quite obviously, the zebra does not want to be eaten)
predator-predator: lions and cheetahs- lions and cheetahs compete for the same resources.
species-same species: lions and lions: they will fight over mates and living area, as well as hunting privileges.
Human Impacts
Large areas on the region had been cultivated with different crops, most of them consist on rice, corn and palm oil.
The Llanos grasslands have been significantly modified as a result of the region’s economic importance to both Venezuela and Colombia. Cattle raising is one human impact in the region. Because the dry native grasses have low nutritional value, fire is used by humans to increase their quality and sustain the 15 million cattle in the region

WHAT IS A GRASSLAND ?
Grasslands are natural ecological communities dominated by grasses and with less than 10% natural tree or shrub cover. They contain many grass species and even greater diversity of other herbs. Grasslands are among the most species rich plants communities.

Biomes: Tropical Grasslands in Colombia
The Llanos stretch between Colombia and Venezuela in northern South America. They extend in a northeast direction, from the foothills of the Colombian Andean Mountains and extending along the course of the Orinoco River nearly to its delta in the Atlantic Ocean. The Llanos are limited by the Andes in the west, the Venezuelan Coastal Range in the north and the Amazon in the south.
Location
Vegetation
Grasses are adapted to hot and dry areas: they have long, narrow leaves that lose less water than larger leaves do, and their root systems are extensive and deep so that they can acquire water even during drought conditions.
The climate change of the llanos is extreme, during the rainy season from May to October parts of the Llanos can flood up to a meter. This turns the woodlands and grasslands into a temporary wetland comparable to the Pantanal of central South America.
Precipitation
The grasslands in Colombia present very variable levels of precipitations over the year that can go from 1500ml to 3500 a year.
The dominant vegetation is perennial, low-productivity grasses (paspalum, beard grass, carpetgrass) with few flowering plants, spiny shrubs and trees, that occur naturally in the region.
natural barriers
Restricted by the Andes in the west, the Guina Platau in the south, and the Venezuelan coast in the north .

There are 200 tipes of grass in the grass- lands, and the most common is the fox tail grass .
The grass adapts to hot and wet seasons
because of its roots.
The Orinoco river that flows through the llanos.
small lakes
rocks
Air
the llanos are mostly a huge plain,it dosen't
have a mountain system in them.

In summer seasons sunlight is very agressive ,
soil is mostly fertile for agriculture.
Australia covers an area of 7.68
million km of grasslands.
