Abraham

Abraham lived in the land of Canaan. Abraham was one day greeted by God. God said"Abraham, leave your house and go to the land that I will show you". Abraham was scared, but because he loved God, he trusted him. He packed his bags and left his fathers house. When he came to a plain, God told him to stop. "This will be your new country." "I promise this to you: you will have children. and your children will have children, and you will have a Great country in your name." Then God said "You will soon have a son." "But how is this possible? I am to old!" exclaimed Abraham. "This is a promise to you Abraham."

Abraham rushed home to his wife, Sarai, and told her the news. His wife said "This is not possible, I am to old! But, my servant Hagar can bear your child for you." So Abraham decided to have a child with Hagar though she was a wife. When Hagar found out that she was pregnant, she began to despise her mistress Sarai. This made Sarai mistreat Hagar, causing her to run away. On the way, an Angel of the Lord spoke to her at the Fountain on the way to Shur. He asked her to return and bare her son, and told her that "He will be a wild man, and his hand will be against every man, and he will be in the face of his brothers." The angel then told Hagar to name her child Ishmael. Hagar quickly returned home to abraham and bore her child. Abraham was 86 years old at the time.

Now, the whole world has one language now and a common speech. The Tower of Babel is made out of bricks (instead of stone) that have been baked thoroughly and tar for mortar. They will build a city with a tower that reaches to the heavens. As the were building the tower, the lord came down to see the city. So the Lord scattered them from there, over all the earth, and they stopped building the city.

Genesis Overview
There came a time when there was only one good man in all the world, and his name was Noah. Everybody else was bad. God wanted to start over fresh. So He told Noah to build an ark. And Noah did.
God told Noah to fill the animals—two of every kind. And Noah did. Noah and went aboard too.
Then God made the rain come down. It rained and rained, until there was a great flood that covered the world. Only those who were in the ark were safe and dry. Everybody else was drowned.
Then God made the sun shine and dry up the rain. Everyone in the ark came out. Noah said: “Look! God has sent us a sign in the sky. It means that He will never flood the world again.” The sign in the sky was the very first rainbow.
God made the world because he wanted to create the world in his image and in his Glory. It took 6 days to make the world in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
On the first day He said, “Let there be light.” On the second day he made the sky. On the third day he made the day, night, season, years and the stars. On the fourth day he made living creatures. On the fifth day he made beasts of the Earth. On the sixth day he made Man. On the seventh day he rested. He looked down on the Earth, and knew it was good.
