System Ever since Marikina City has
encountered problems about
perennial flooding, we want to propose a catch basin design which will help control these
flooding. The Sewage System Foundation Pipe Roof Drain Main Sewage Sidewalk Drainage Water flows from the foundation pipe
and roof drain to
the main sewage Cover Drainage Pipe Basket connected
to cover Underground Reservoir Water enters in these holes The water will pass through these holes then it will go to the
filtration tanks for further
cleansing. The Garbage System Marikina residents need to segregate their garbage into biodegradable and non-biodegradable. Separate collection schedule would be made for non-bio and biodegradable waste. "The Zero Waste Management (ZWM)
extends the principles of recycling to
form a circular system where as much
of the original material as possible is
reused. Discarded materials are not
seen as garbage in need of disposal
but as valuable resources in need
of new application. It would be every
households' responsibility to
clean up this drainage. The reservoirs, that are located completely underground, must be resistant to different chemical and mechanical influences. The corrosion stress in the ground depends on the contents and type of minerals, organic compounds, water and oxygen content. The coating system for the protection of reservoirs should therefore be resistant to humidity, gases, roots, microorganisms, influences of bulk stored goods in case of leakage and mechanical strain.
There are 2 special two-component epoxy binders have substituted bitumen exterior insulation of the underground steel reservoirs and they brought about considerable advantages in application and use of materials, as well as in the chemical and mechanical resistance. After the biodegradable waste turn into compost, this will be taken to the side of the Marikina River and will be used for planting trees. frequent flooding First, biodegradable wastes are collected every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. These waste will be taken to a compost site. Non-biodegradable waste are collected every Tuesday and Thursday for recycling. We highly encourage the "Reduce, Reuse, and Recyle" policy to minimize collection of garbage from Marikina households. This is in line in promoting Zero Waste Management on a national level.
