The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Petra Wadi Rum Mount Nebo This is the mountain from which Moses saw the Promised Land before he died.
It’s 1000 meters high
It has many ancient floor Mosaic
It also has a church on the top built in 394 A.D
It has a spectacular view
Wadi Rum is a big desert in the south of Jordan
It is a protected area since 1998
It covers 720 square kilometers
It has mountains, fissures, and narrow canyons
Mountains rise as high as 1700 meters
Many of the rocks conceal ancient carvings by the people of the desert
Many Bedouins still live in Wadi Rum
Movies where also filmed here such as: Lawrence of Arabia, and Transformers 2
Built by the Nabateans
Nomadic Yemeni Arabs that moved to Jordan
Petra is situated at the crossroad that linked China, India, and Southern Arabia to Egypt, Syria, Greece, and Rome
You enter it by the “Siq”, a narrow entrance that’s more then a km long, and cliffs that are 80 meters high
Petra was a very well protected city, the rock formations created a big wall around it

The Greeks where unable to penetrate it’s impregnable defenses during the Hellenic invasions
Later on the Romans were able to cut off their water supplies in order to gain access to the beautiful city

Which if I may ask, environmentally, has very strict norms?

Mount Nebo, mountain of the Prophecies
That subjugates Jordan’s many legacies
Those are the magical elements
In which lives the Imperial Hashemite eminence
