Neighborhood Planning and Community-Based Development: The Potential and Limits of Grassroots Action. Thousand Oaks, Sage. anställd fick tvådelat uppdrag:

mötesplats under flyttbart tak/tält utomhus på torget
föra in kunskap om medborgardeltagande i lokal förvaltning

the proposal had not been anchored enough
don't build the tent – be burnt
avoid jumping to solutions The square in Hammarkullen has the only tram stop and thus serves 8,000 inhabitants and the idea of a covered meeting place was to:
increase the feeling of safety and security by inviting more people to use the square, especially females, and make it populated more hours of the day
increase integration and democracy by giving the square a free outdoor meeting place for inhabitants, pupils/students, teachers, researchers, social workers, youth workers, etc, to meet and reach out An idea of a covered meeting place Aug 19: Public ‘idea party’ tools:

Oct 5: Exhibition How can built environment facilitate for a desired social development in a community? This is what transdisciplinary work has been about for us: a knowledge view implying that all actors, also inhabitants, are:
knowledge producers
knowledge bearers
knowledge users
a strategy in which citizens together with the other actors build society and community as part of their ordinary life.

The question about domination of space is in this view a question about who has the right to put knowledge on the table in a design/planning process.

Including inhabitants in the knowledge production process imply planning for their participation – it's a process: CAD drawings Architects: Mia Börjesson & Frida Skarp An interplace was formed as a result of the codesigning process and the place for presenting it, resulting in discussing the themes of:
budgeting some more money for refurbishing the park
artists would like to design a statue at the square
worsening situation for the youth with a significant increase locally of drug dealers
the need for extended ‘social tenure’ How can social tenure be done to involve people more?

many of the youth?
all ten local artists?
entire school class?
music college students?

Include them as community builders,
make use of their knowledge,
when changing public open space.

What would such a tool in social tenure look like?
How can it be scaled up?

Developing this kind of knowledge would be the start of answering the question ‘what is the strength of coproduction in urban empowerment processes’. startade 2011
