:) THANKS FOR LISTENING!!! cytoplasm is watery substance that makes up most of a cell. It holds all the cell organelles and is also used to transport things between organelles. Cytoplasm! A liquid crystal display (LCD) is a flat panel display, electronic visual display, or video display that
uses the light modulating properties of liquid crystals. LCD( Liquid crystal display) Cytoplasm and LCD are alike because they both have the important task of holding the phone or cell together. Also when using the LCD of a phone you can go to different things on your phone such as apps, call settings, the internet, ect.. This is very similar to how cytoplasm is used to transport things between organelles. Why is Cytoplasm and LCD alike? The Nucleus and the Microprocessor The nucleus is "The Control Center" of a cell.When I say "The Control Center" I mean it is like the brain of our body for the cell, it controls and keeps track of what the other cell parts are doing and keeps the cell functioning properly. It also holds the DNA of a cell and helps make ribosomes. The Nucleus The microprocessor handles all of the housekeeping chores for the keyboard and display, it deals with command and control signaling with the base station and also coordinates the rest of the functions on the board. The Microprocessor The microprocessor and the nucleus are alike because the nucleus makes sure all the organelles are doing their function properly; and the microprocessor is also making sure everything is correct and telling everything what to do and how to do it properly. Why are the microprocessor and the nucleus alike? Comparing the Cell Membrane
to A Firewall. The Membrane The membrane is the " Gate
keeper" of the cell. It is called
the "gate keeper" because it controls what goes in and out
of the cell. The Firewall Why are the cell Membrane
And the Firewall Alike? A firewall can either be software-based or hardware-based and is used to help keep a network secure. Its primary objective is to control the incoming and outgoing network traffic by analyzing the data packets and determining whether it should be allowed through or not. The cell membrane and the firewall are alike because they both have the roll of the "gate keeper" The cell membrane plays the roll of the gate keeper because it controls what goes in and out and so does the firewall. A Battery The chloroplasts function is to trap energy from the sun to create food for the plant cell. Interesting fact! The chloroplast gets it green color because of chlorophyll, which is a green pigment. Battery Batteries keep the cellphone going! How do they do that might you ask? Electricity, as
you probably already know, is the flow of electrons through a conductive path like a wire. This path is called a circuit. Therefore if the battery didn't have an electricity source to work the battery the battery and the phone would not work! Batteries and
Chloroplasts are similar because chloroplast has the task of trapping the energy from the sun to make food for the plant cell. Similarly the battery has a similar task! It catches the energy from its charger and provides life for the cellular phone. Chromosomes and A SIM Card Chromosomes A SIM Card. Why are SIM cards and Chromosomes similar? Chromosomes contain the genetic information of a cell, which is also your DNA. The Chromosomes hold the information needed to keep a cell running! A SIM card, which stands for Subscriber Identity Module, is basically a cell phone memory chip. It's a little card that slides in and out of cell phones that can be used to store personal data. The SIM card manages your personal cell phone data, like the cell phone number, an address book and other personal data, such as text messages or photos. SIM cards and chromosomes are similar because chromosomes contain the genetic information of a cell and holds information needed to keeps the cell running. This is similar to a SIM card because a SIM card manages your personal information on your phone. Cell wall The Phone Case Why are the Phone case
and the Cell wall similar? The cell wall is the "protector" of the cell. It surrounds the cell for support and protection. The phone case surrounds the outside of the phone for support and protection. This can really help if an accident happens such as dropping your phone. The Phone case and the cell wall are similar because they both support and protect an important thing. Touch Screen Why are touch screen and endoplasmic reticulum similar? Endoplasmic Reticulum The endoplasmic reticulum is the internal delivery system of the cell. AKA "roads". A touch screen is an electronic visual display that can detect the presence and location of a touch within the display area. With this you can
touch your screen to lead to different apps kind of like a road map. Touch screen and endoplasmic reticulum are similar because they both lead you to something. Or take you to a certain thing. For example on a cell phone maybe it can lead you to an app. Why are lysosomes and Anti-Viruses similar? Anti-Virus Lysosomes Lysosomes break down food into particles the rest of the cell can use and then destroys old cells. This is why they call them "the clean up crew". An anti-virus is something that can take away and clean all the viruses on your computer Lysosomes and Anti-viruses are similar because they both help keep things clean and safe.
