Transcript of Twilight
In a little town called Forks, in the state of Washington.
The mood is serious and at times, melodramatic.
In the beginning,
the tone is sad
When she is with Edward, it's sweet and romantic.
When James was trying to get Bella,
the tone is mysterious, brilliant, and exciting.
Bella Swan a 17-year old girl that Bella has a kind and awkward personality that is more mature than most girls her age. She moved to Forks, Washington to live with her dad.
There she became intrigued with a boy named Edward Cullen. When he saves her life, he reveals his super-human qualities. And Bella
instantly knew that he was anything but human.
Edward eventually admits that he is a vampire, though him and his family only hunt animals, not humans.
Written by Stephenie Meyer
Bella doesn't care what Edward is. She loves him with all her heart.
Edward Cullen is a immortal vampire that
is incredibly fast and strong. He has a great gift of being able to read minds. And even though he is a vampire, he does not feed on human blood, but the blood of animals. Edward takes the form of a 17-year-old boy but is really 104-years-old. Carlisle, his vampire dad, created him because of Edward's mother's wish for him to live through his disease, Spanish Influenza.
Edward was never
interested in love until he met Bella. He instantly smelled an overwhelming scent of her blood. And she was the only one whose thoughts he couldn't read. After saving her life multiple times, he fell in love with her. However, he puts Bella in danger every time they're together. Bella's love and confidence in Edward's restraint of not drinking human blood causes her to ignore his warnings. Bella means the world to Edward.
In the beginning, the book tells the reader that Bella was unsure and confused about Edward, not truly knowing what was going on or what to think. But as the story went on, everything became more clear.
At the end of the book, Edward explains more things to Bella. So good that she makes up her mind in wanting to be a vampire as well.
Twilight is a story of forbidden love. Because Edward is a vampire and Bella is a human, Edward technically should consider Bella his prey. While Edward does love Bella, his vampire instincts lead him to thirst for her blood. And Bella's natural instincts should warn her that Edward is dangerous, that she should stay away from him, but instead she craves being near him at all times. For this couple, even kissing is dangerous, yet their passion is so intense that they each claim to have no choice but to be with each other.
Bella left sunny Phoenix, Arizona, away from her mom to go live with her dad. This is because her mom's new husband is a major league baseball player that travels all around the U.S.
Bella moved to rainy Forks, Washington with her dad to finish her two last years of high school.
Bella attracts a lot attention at her new school and makes friends quickly. Unfortunately, several boys compete for shy Bella's attention.
When Bella is seated next to Edward Cullen in class on her first day of school, Edward seems very disgusted by her. So he disappears for a few days.
When Edward comes back, he warms up to Bella and is a little nicer. Their new found friendship takes a turning point when Tyler's van nearly crushed Bella. Edward swiftly ran over to Bella and stopped the van with nothing else but his own hand.
Bella annoys Edward with countless questions because she became almost obsessed with how he saved her life. Bella comes to the theory that Edward and his family are vampires who drink animal blood rather than human after hearing the legends of the local Indian tribe from Jacob Black.
Bella is saved by Edward again in Port Angeles. When she is almost hurt, Edward suddenly appears in his shiny, silver Volvo. Narrowly escaping, he then takes Bella to dinner. While he drives her home, she tells him her belief that he is a vampire. Edward admits and explains to her that he tried to stay away from her at first because the scent of her blood was too desirable to him.
where you don't exist
Edward brings Bella to his family's baseball game. While they are playing, a coven of vampires arrive.
After awhile, they fell passionately in love.
One in particular, named James, became thirsty from the overwhelming scent of Bella's blood.
He tried attacking but was outnumbered. The Cullen's relationship with a human amazed him, yet made his desire for Bella that much more stronger.
The Cullens knew James wouldn't give up, so they drove Bella all the way to Phoenix, Arizona. Nevertheless, James followed and surprisingly was able to get Bella.
He grabbed her and threw her as if she was nothing but a piece of paper. Blood rushed from her head as she slammed into the column.
Then he picked her up again and banged her against a mirror, allowing the glass to fall in her cuts making it sting more. He didn't think that was enough, so he stepped on her leg fiercely, braking it with a deadly snap.
Suddenly, Edward arrived to save Bella. James wanted to hurt Edward as much as he could, so he ran over to Bella....
....and bit her.
Bella screamed feeling the fiery venom run through her veins. When all the Cullens finally came, they killed James. To save Bella's humanity, Edward sucked all the venom out of her system.
Edward successfully saved Bella and was able to take her to prom.
As they dance ever so gracefully, Bella expresses her love and compassion for Edward. She wants to be with Edward- not
