In 1990, there were around 3000 multinational corporations were operating in the world. In 2003, there were 63000.
From 2005 to 2010, the percentage of corporations from Global 500 from developing countries has grown from 8 to 17%.
In 2011, over 50% of the revenues of S&P 500 corporations comes from outside the U.S.
Between 2010 and 2015, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam as a group is projected to have the fastest pace of growth.
We are interconnected
like no other time
in human history!
And that is
Rapid economic prosperity in many parts of the world
It is my hypothesis that the fundamental source of human conflict in this new world will not be primarily ideological or primarily economic. The great divisions among humankind and the dominating source of conflict will be culture.
We are unicultural people in a multicultural world.
