The Our World Film Festival aims to unleash a
new wave of creativity
among the next generation of
and unite people around the world through
film and music!
You might be wondering why a chamber orchestra is organising a Film Festival?
ARDESKO is on a mission to get more
inspired by classical music and make classical music more accessible to
. In 2013 we launched stage one of
Project Our World
- the crowdfunded
Our World CD
recording. With CD's in hand we're ready to roll out the next exciting phase of the project, the Our World Film Festival!
OUR WORLD SHORT FILM CHALLENGE
The OWSFC is open to individuals and groups under the age of
. There is
fee for participation in the SFC.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Participants need to create an
short film based on one of the tracks from the Our World CD. These tracks will be digitally available at no cost for participants.
The film should have a
and reflect on the issues, dreams, or hopes which shape the participants lives and the world around us. The style is open to the imagination and can include animation.
THE BIG CHALLENGE!
The OWSFC is no ordinary film competition, in the Our World films classical
This will encourage young film makers to approach storytelling in a unique way, creatively exploring the relationships between
As the film makers will be required to use the music track of their choice in its'
, music will become an integral part of the film making process; a guide which brings
to the story and not something that is added as an afterthought.
To help first-time film makers to enter the OWSFC, school and youth
may be assisted by one adult over the age of 26 in the production of their film. Content and story must be entirely developed by the participants.

The OWSFC will be judged by a high profile jury comprising at least 12 international jury members including:
film directors, composers and critics

WHAT IS OUR WORLD LIVE?
Our World Live is a
captivating audience experience
where music and film melt seamlessly together.
The Our World music is performed live by Ardesko chamber orchestra (16-22 musicians) in perfect synchronisation with 11 winning films from the Short Film Challenge.

OUR WORLD LIVE EVENTS
With dialogue-free films, the Our World Live performances are engaging for a diverse range of people from varying cultural backgrounds and ages. Live events can be booked individually or make a great addition to existing programming for:
• film, music or arts festivals
• open air events
• concert halls
• corporate events
To host a Our World Live event you'll need:
A large projection screen (the bigger the better!) preferably 16x9
A good quality projector
Strong wifi connection
Large or outdoor venues may require amplification for the musicians depending on the acoustics of the location.
Ardesko is an international chamber orchestra based in the Netherlands. A bit like a mini United Nations, the top young professional musicians of the orchestra share 17 nationalities and speak 15 languages.
Through innovative programming, education and a diverse range of activities Ardesko strives to break down the barriers surrounding classical music. The orchestra can be found performing everywhere from famous concert halls such as the

The Our World Film Festival event will feature a number of workshops and masterclasses for film makers, composers and musicians at various stages of their careers.
For children of all ages there will be series of 'Crazy Creative' workshops, which give an introduction to film making
with live music.
