The climb By Miley Cryus The Climb By Miley Cyrus The singer:
Miley Cyrus Miley Ray Cyrus (born Destiny Hope Cyrus; November 23, 1992) is an American actor, singer-songwriter, voice actress and pop singer. She achieved wide fame for her role as Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana on the Disney Channel sitcom Hannah Montana. Her parents named her Destiny Hope because they believed that she would accomplish great things with her life. They gave her the nickname "Smiley", which was later shortened to "Miley", because she smiled so often as a baby.[5] Cyrus suffers from a mild heart condition causing tachycardia which, though not dangerous, is often bothersome. The climb
——Miley Cryus
I can almost see it.
That dream I'm dreamin' but
There's a voice inside my head saying
you'll never reach it.
Every step I'm taking.
Every move I make feels
Lost with no direction.
My faith is shakin.
But I, I gotta keep tryin.
Gotta keep my head held high. New Vocab uphill battle Theme Life is the climb and we need to face the difficluties and overcome it. Metaphor and symbolisium paraphrase each stanza "The Climb" is a song performed by American recording artist and actress Miley Cyrus, for the 2009 film Hannah Montana: The Movie. The song was written by Jessi Alexander and Jon Mabe, and produced by John Shanks The song is a power ballad with lyrics that describe life as a difficult but rewarding journey. Photos show of miley The background of the song The song they created was titled "It's the Climb" and was written in third person. Before reaching Cyrus, the song had been rejected by several country artists.Chelsom found what would become "The Climb" while visiting Nashville, Tennessee, during a quest to find eleven new songs for Hannah Montana: The Movie.[3] After hearing Alexander's music, Chelsom asked her to submit songs for consideration. Alexander recorded "It's the Climb" on a CD and gave it to him. Several weeks later, Chelsom called to say that "the song was gonna be an integral part of the movie".However, he wanted Mabe and Alexander to rework some of the song's content and to change the song from third person to first person. Upon receiving the final draft, filmmakers told the songwriters, "This is perfect for Miley, it’s gonna change her life, gonna change your life." Chelsom commented that the song "turned up" the film's music level by tapping into Cyrus's newfound vocal range. As with the other songs featured in Hannah Montana: The Movie, the song is "tightly woven into the fabric of the story and the characters". In the film, Cyrus plays Miley Stewart, a character with a secret double life as superstar Hannah Montana. Keeping this secret causes trouble between Miley and many of the other characters in the film, and leaves Miley confused and contrite. She expresses her emotions by writing "The Climb".[5] According to film producer Alfred Gough, "The song is her journey, the lessons she's learned in the movie.
1) The speaker had a dream and wanted to achieve it. But it's difficult and even couldn't be accomplished. The speaker didn't give up and keep the faith. 2) The difficulties became more and more, but the speaker will not be afraid of them. Some time he will lose, but she will win the whole race. 3) The speaker knew that sometime she loses, but she was still there. It didn't mean that she is broken. It's a train for her. She will be stronger. The quote "There's always gonna be another mountain" uses the metaphor. Compare the difficulties in the life to the mountains. We must climb it and overcome it. The quote"Always gonna be an uphill battle"also use the metaphor. Compare the problems appear on the path to be successful to the uphill battle. Both of them are difficult to overcome, even sometime we have to lose. But we need to keep climbing, keep fighting, we will win the battle. Rhyme The quote "My faith is shakin. But I, I gotta keep tryin." uses the rhyme. The words shakin and tryin are rhyme scheme. There is another rhyme scheme in the poem"The struggles I'm facing. The chances I'm taking." The words facing and taking is rhyme. Resources:

I'm always gonna wanna make it move.
Always gonna be an uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose.
Ain't about how fast I get there.
Ain't about what's waitin on the other side.
It's the climb. The struggles I'm facing.
The chances I'm taking.
Sometimes might knock me down but
No I'm not breaking.
I may not know it
But these are the moments that
I'm gonna remember most, yeah.
Just gotta keep going.
And I, I gotta be strong.
Just keep pushing on 'cause
There's always gonna be another mountain.
I'm always gonna wanna make it move.
Always gonna be an uphill battle
But Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose.
Ain't about how fast I get there.
Ain't about what's waitin on the other side.
It's the climb.
Keep on moving,
Keep climbing,
Keep the faith,
