Computer Technician In this job, you fix hardware and software of computers and stabilize servers. By Zach Freeman and Kevin Bost The average salary of Computer technicians is around $45,000-$50,000, but with seniority, your salary can increase to around $70,000 or more. Three colleges that have degrees for Computer Technicians are ITT Tech, University of Phoenix, and DeVry University. Some exams that need to be taken for the job are the Comptia exam, or simply, the A+ test. Some professional organizations that Computer Technicians would belong to would be like Best Buy, Radioshack, and plenty of other local ones such as NetManageIT. The Computer Technician job is one in high demand and not so high in supply, and as long as you've passed your A+ test and have a relatively good background in the field, you should be all set for getting the job.
