The American Dream(:
Representation of The American Dream
The representation of the American Dream and its values varies from person to person and from book to book. In the book, the Great Gatsby , the American dream is presented in different ways due to the dissimilar races, social classes, time period, and their characters.
The Great Gatsby, which takes place in the 1920’s, we see the same concept of the American dream; to become wealthy and be able to live comfortably.



"Is the American Dream a real term or attitude?
The American Dream is a real term because it's a way that people are trying to live or fit into a lifestyle.It could possibly be an attitude because when your rich you could have a different perspective about The American Dream. On the other hand for the middle class and the poor class peoples perspective of the American Dream is to be free and working their way to what they thought the American Dream would be.




What is the American Dream to us?
The American Dream is having the ability to work your way up to being wealthy, and being able to live freely. Also to reach your goals that you would like to accomplish in life. The American Dream is mainly a goal to reach on how to make your life better, But it depends on you if you want to be succesful or not.

to seek out their individual and collective desires under a political umbrella of democracy.

The American Dream can represent something different to each person but they main thing is to reach a goal set out for your self to strive in life.

to live "a good" life provide for your family and give to them things you didn't have growing up

The American Dream means something different to everyone, everyone has their own american dream

-The American Dream in the 1920's was portrayed as being able to grow to the fullest development as men and women, and not letting things get in the way of those achievements.
-The American Dream Today is a lot different. Most people see it as being able to have everything paid off. Being able to make it to retirement, and relaxing after wards.
