James Matthew Barrie
James Matthew Barrie is known for his Peter Pan series. His inspiration was from when his brother David died two days before his own fourteen birthday from a ice-skating accident . His mother was devastated. Barrie, only six years old at
the time tried wearing his brother's
clothes to make it look like his brother
was still living. One day Barrie was walk-
ing past his mother's bedroom and he-
ard her say" I wish my boy would have
lived forever". Later on in Barrie's life he looked back at that moment and got the idea for his character Peter Pan. Peter Pan lives forever by staying in Never land.
