The Floating Market is basically self explanatory; it is a market that floats. The market is technically not floating, rather it is spread out on a number of boats. Floating or not floating, the market is a very popular sight in Thailand for the locals and the tourists. - The Floating Market is located in Bangkok, Thailand. Bangkok is located on the coast in Thailand; it is both the capital, and most populated city in Thailand. Bangkok has a population of 5,104,476 people. - The Floating Market is important to Thailand because it attracts a lot of tourists, and it is a good place for people to simply pick up some food for the week. :) Chiang Mai is the second largest city in Thailand (right after Bangkok), and it is a very culturally rich city. There are a lot of different things to do in Chiang Mai, including the festival of flowers, elephant parks, and many other attractions. - There is a lot of culture in the city of Chiang Mai. This city is famous for many reasons; one of the reasons is all of the 300+ temple - The accommodations in Chiang Mai are amazing. There is a lot of food and necessities to go around. Also, the food and items in Chiang Mai are very affordable. They have everything from world-class shopping, to family owned shops. - Chiang Mai is important in Thailand for many reasons. It has a lot of cultural importance, and it also brings in a lot of tourists to Thailand. - The city of Chiang Mai is a city that is very full of culture. It is actually an island that is located fairy far from Thailand itself. Koh Phi Phi is actually a set of two islands. The two islands are called Phi-Phi Don and Phi-Phi Ley. The have beaches, and cuisine, along with a number of adventures and tours. - The islands of Koh Phi Phi are famous for many reasons. One of the main reasons is the amazing beaches. The ice blue water an golden sand lure many tourists to the sight. - Koh Phi Phi also has a lot of vibrant life. They are well known for their scuba diving. Also, they attract people with the rock climbing and nightlife - Koh Phi Phi is an important sight in Thailand because it brings in a lot of tourist income. Also, the islands of Koh Phi Phi are places of sheer beauty. The Grand Palace was once the home of a great king, along with his family and many other people of importance to the government. The king and the others inhabited the palace for nearly 150 years. - This is one of the reasons that the Grand Palace is culturally important. It was once considered to be the center of the entire Thai kingdom. - The Grand Palace was built in 1782. The reason for its construction was to create a home for the king and his people to live. - There are many different components that make up the Grand Palace; these parts include the following: Dusit Throne Hall, Chakri Throne Hall, Boromphiman Hall, and Maha Monthien Hall - The Grand Palace is an important sight in Thailand because it holds a lot of historical meaning. Along with many sights, it can also help to bring in tourist income. - In order to enter the Grand Palace, you must meet the dress code criteria. There are no bare feet allowed, men and women must be wearing long sleeved shirts and pants, and no clothes can be see through. The sight is considered by UNESCO to be a must-see historical sight. - The city of Ayutthaya is an important sight because it holds a lot of the historical importance in Thailand. It was a city/kingdom that had a lot of history even though it excisted for only about 410 years. - The city of Ayutthaya is not actually a city, rather it is the ruins of a city from a previous era. This means that it is one of the only big parks in the big, populated city of Bangkok. - This park was named after the birthplace of Buddha; this is one of the main reasons that Lumpini Park is a significant place. It is important to the Buddhist religion. That along with the fact that it is a popular tourist destination. - The landscaping of Lumpini Park is spectacular; there are boating lakes, shrubs and plants, and even a race track. This draws in a lot of people. They can do tai chi, jog, take aerobics classes, or just relax in the park. - Lumpini Park is technically more than just a park. Most of Thailand's main tourist attractions are located on Bangkok, mainly because it is the largest city. - The National Museum of Thailand was built on what used to be the home of the second king, or the successor of the king. - The National Museum is home to many antiques of the previous kings. The Museum used to be just an unorganized jumble of things, but now it resembles more of a museum. - Now, the museum has rooms and is organized mostly by subjects. Recently (if not currently) the museum has underwent a renovation. It is not yet an organized portrayal of the Thai history. - The National Museum is an important sight in Thailand because it is a important piece of history. Nam Nao National Park has many great festivals, special occasions, and accommodations. It is a great place for both the locals and tourists to spend their time. - Nam Nao is located near the mountains, therefore, it has a fairly cool climate. In the cold season, it can reach down to 0 degrees Celsius; the coldest month is November. - This park is located in near the northeastern border of Thailand. It covers about 970 km of land (966 km to be exact). - Nam Nao National Park is a beautiful place for sight seeing; thus, it is a big tourist attraction.
