WHAT IS IDENTITY THEFT? BIBLIOGRAPHY Identity theft refers to the preparatory stage of acquiring and collecting someone else's personal information for criminal purposes. Or for financial gain or the gain of goods and services.

:Identity theives are looking for the following:
=> full name
=> date of birth
=> full address
=> social insurance numbers
=> signature
=> passport number
=> credit card number
=> email address and password
=> driver's license number
=> other personal information FACTS Identity theft can range from unsophisticated to a more elaborate schemes. Victims of identity theft can experience financial loss and difficulty obtaining credit pr restoring their "good name".
