Having a Healthy Body
Conclusion
There are tons of things that can keep you healthy, but there are also many things that can make you very unhealthy! This prezi will explain what things you can do to have a healthy body weight and a good body image.
Eating healthy food is one of the steps to a healthy body. Try to eat the amount of food according to Canada's Food Guide. Eating healthy reduces your risk of obesity, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, certain types of cancer, and osteoporosis. This is the first step to have a healthy body because this affects your physical activity. If you eat too much food high in fat, you will become overweight and won't have enough energy to exercise 60 minutes a day. It's OK to have some junk food, but not too much.
Healthy Eating
Exercising is what keeps us fit. It helps us burn off the extra calories from eating junk food. It is important to do physical activities for at least 60 minutes a day. Science has shown that when teens increase their daily physical activity, they reduce the risk of developing many diseases such as heart disease and type 2 diabetes and are generally healthier and happier. According to Participaction, children who are active improve their health, do better in school, improve their fitness, grow stronger, have fun playing with friends, feel happier, maintain a healthy body weight, improve their self-confidence, and learn new skills.
Physical Activity
Being healthy isn't just about healthy eating and fitness; it's about physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Other Things That Can Help Keep You Healthy
Eating healthy and doing physical activity contribute to a good body image and a healthy body weight. There are many other things that keep you healthy, but might not contribute. The best part is that it's easy to do! There are many delicious healthy foods, and physical activity can be loads of fun!
Try to get 8.5 to 9.25 Hours of Sleep Daily
According to Kidshealth.org, sleeping helps you grow. Researchers believe too little sleep can affect growth and your immune system. Sleeping is also a good way to prevent overeating. A study by The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition demonstrated that men who only slept for 4 hours consumed, on average, 500 more calories than they did after sleeping for 8.
Be Hygienic
You have to Wash your hands thoroughly after coming into contact with a sick person, using the bathroom, or anything else that could make you sick.
Other Ways to Stay Healthy
-Reduce your "screen time." Kids these days spend too much time playing video games and too much time in front of the TV and computer.
-Don't skip breakfast. You might say that you have no time for breakfast, but breakfast is the most important meal of the day!
