Activated charcoal followed after a
diagnosis of tetrodoxtin poisoning

Bradycardia- Slow heart rate; was given atropine
The patient was diagnosed with Bradycardia (slow heart rate- was given atropine) within 30 minutes of being in the Emergency Room
After the administration of IV hydration, gastric lavage, and activated charcoal the patient was presumed to have tetrodotoxin poisoning

Watching what you eat and drink
Keep a diary of their food intake to identify any links to their upset stomach.
A high fiber diet is good for your health; slowly increasing fiber intake will help your digestive system.

Ciprofloxacin (antibiotic)
Rehydrating the patient by receiving clear liquids through the mouth or more commonly through intravenous solutions (IV)
It is crucial to avoid laxatives and to take a lower dose of prescribed drugs

Patient went to dinner in Indonesia having a meal of pufferfish and rice. Within an hour of leaving the dinner, he felt;

Numbness
Pain
Nausea
Severe vomiting

He went on another trip where he handled a pitohui and experienced the same problems.
