-‘Enhancement of Learning’ Characteristics
o wide range of topics to address interest and need
o directions provided (likely of more use to the parents)
o wide range of activities to engage different interests and abilities including games and quizzes
o different links to different sights with menus of their own to explore or continue on
-Disengaging Characteristics:
o hasn’t been updated in some time having students seeing it as ‘old’ and obsolete
o some links no longer work potentially increasing frustrations
o too many advertisements mixed within content which obstructs focus

What might you change to make this website more engaging and effective?

- give the 'page a face' lift by updating the introduction and add newer sites and eliminate
broken links
- add video to the activities alredy there to increase options for engagement
- widen and categorize the levels of difficulty within the activities

-‘Enhancement of Learning’ Characteristics
o Game based activities addressing various educational topics and subjects
o Use of animation and audio
o Directions and examples provided to teach users to use game
o Wide range of leveled activities from Preschool to College/
Adult Learning
o World activities aside from only American thereby
broadening the relevance and potential audience
-Disengaging Characteristics
o Once inside, some pages contain advertisements containing
visuals that are may not be seen as age appropriate given
the level of the activities
o Number of choices can be overwhelming despite being
categorized

What might you change to make this website more engaging and effective?

- Eliminate advertising with ‘questionable’ images and subject matter given the age level of audience; save such mediums for more appropriate age levels

o Uses mostly video rather than other more interactive means
o Limited access unless for non-members

What might you change to make this website more engaging and effective?

- Allow some membership features to be accessed by non-members to demonstrate full potential of site before buying membership; like curricular standards alignment, for example.
