Transcript of Romeo and Juliet Family Tree

Family Tree A family tree of three families, The Montegues, Capulets, and Veronians The Montagues Neutral Characters Prince Escalus Benvolio Lady Montague Romeo Lord Montague Lord Capulet Juliet Lady Capulet The Capulets "I would not for all the wealth of all this town here in my house do him disparagement"

He is the father of Juliet, the husband of Lady Capulet, The Uncle of Tybalt. His character is a well-mannered and a very tolerant man. By this I mean that he will not break into violence easily, unlike others from the two families might. "Marry, that 'Marry' is the very theme I came to talk of. Tell me, daughter Juliet. How stands your disposition to be married?"

She is the mother of Juliet and the wife of Lord Capulet. She is also the Aunt of Tybalt. Her character would be described as being similar to Lord Capulet. By this I mean well mannered and tolerant. "Who set this ancient quarrel new abroach? Speak nephew, were you by when it began?"

He is the father of Romeo, the husband to Lady Montague, and is the leader of the Montague house. His character would be described as strict and powerful since he is able to be in charge of his family. "Thou shalt not stir one foot to seek a foe"

She is the wife of Lord Montague, and the mother of Romeo. Her character can be described as kind of being in the back round because we haven't heard much from her in the story. "But soft! What light through yonder window breaks? It is the east, and Juliet is the sun." "Alas, that love, so gentle in his view, should be so tyrannous and rough in proof"

Benvolio is Romeo's cousin and friend, and the nephew of Lord and Lady Montague. His character can be described as loyal and kind when it comes to people of his family. I know this because he did everything he could to try to get Romeo to cheer up and forget about Rosaline, when Romeo was depressed about her. "If you ever disturb our streets again, your lives shall pay the forfeit of the peace."

The Prince of Verona. His character can be described as powerful and stern because he showed how serious he was about his rules by setting a death penalty to anyone who disobeyed him. "My only love sprung from my only hate!"

She is the daughter of Lord and Lady Capulet and Romeo's Lover. Her character would be described as rebellious and spontaneous. She is rebellious because she doesn't want to marry anyone even though she should be married and have had kids at this point in her life. She is spontaneous because she spoke to Romeo once, and she already knew that she was in love with him. Tybalt "This, by his voice, should be a Montague. Fetch me my rapier, boy!"

He is the nephew of Lord and Lady Capulet, Juliet's cousin. His character can be described as short tempered and intolerable. I would say this because when he saw Romeo at the Capulet's party, he would have killed him if his uncle had not told him to calm down. Nurse The nurse takes care of Juliet. Her character is described as kind and caring. She told Romeo not to cheat on Juliet and treat her right which is showing that she is caring. She is kind because she does not talk back and always happy. Sampson "A dog of that house shall move me to stand. I shall take to the wall of any man or maid of the Montague's"

He is a servant of the Capulet's house. His character can be described as inappropriate for the way he was talking about how he would treat the Montague women and a bit rude for being one of the people to start the street brawl at the beginning of the story. Romeo is the son of Lord and Lady Montague, and is the lover of Juliet. His character can be described as foolish and spontaneous. He can also be unreliable because he switched so quickly from loving Rosaline, to loving Juliet. Abraham A servant to the Montague house.

There is not much to be said about Abraham because he is just a servant and isn't really in the story much. However, his character is probably described as quiet and timid because he is just a servant. Friar Lawrence He is a priest. He agrees to marry Romeo and Juliet in secret because he thinks it will end the feud. Has a hobby dealing with natural herbs and remedies and potions. One of the most complex and interesting characters in the play because he made the plan to try and get Juliet out of marrying paris. The friar cares too much and too deeply. Mercutio: Veronian Dear friend of Romeo and related to the Prince. Was a quick tempered and practical jokester. He met his end when he let his anger get the better of his comedic personality and got into a fight with Tybalt, and lost. "A plague on both your houses, for they have made rats meat of me"
