Transcript of PINEY WOODS OF TEXAS:D

Piney woods of texas:D Piney Wood Biotic Factors A biotic factor is a living thing.
Examples of Biotic Factors in Piney Wood:
Cottonmouth Snakes
Woodpeckers
Jackrabbits
Squirels
Opossum

Abiotic Factors:
An Abiotic factor is A Non-Living Organism.

Examples:
Water
Air Tempature
Sunlight
Rocks Parts of an ecosystem
What are the 4 main parts of an eosystem?
Soil, is a natural body consisting of layers (soil horizons) of mineral constituents of variable thicknesses
Living Organisms
Water
Sunlight

anything that is living A resoucre that we use to drink Another Resource that is the center of our galxey Symbiosis
1.A close, prolonged association between two or more different organisms of different species that may, but does not necessarily, benefit each member.

Three main Types of Symbiosis:

Parasitism
Commensalism
Mutalism Mutualism
association between organisms of two different species in which each is benefited 7 Examples:
Ants and
Aphids
Clownfish
sea anemones
Termites
intestinal flagellates Commensalis is a class of relationship between two organisms where one organism benefits but the other is neutral.
Examples:
tigers and golden jackles
Cattel egrets and live stock
Parasitism A form of symbiosis in which one organism (called parasite) benefits at the expense of another organism usually of different species (called host). The association may also lead to the injury of the host
Examples:
Flea and Dog
Dodder and Shrub
Leach and Human:) thats a bad thing for us:o Predator and Prey relationships
Predator:An animal that naturally preys on others
Prey:An animal that is naturally hunted
Examples of Predators:
Coyote
Hawk
Bobcat

Examples of Preys:
Deer
Squirels
Ducks

Parts of a Food Chain
The source of all energy is the Sun.:)
Producer:an organism that use the suns energy to make it's food
Consumer:an organism that eats a producer or another consumer
What is a food Chain:representations of the predator-prey relationships between species within an ecosystem or habitat.
The arrows repersent which way the energy flows. Types of Consumers
The three main types are Primary, secondary, and tertiary
Primary:an organism that gets its energy from producers
Secondary:Carnivores which eat herbivores
Tertiary:a carnivore at the topmost level in a food chain that feeds on other carnivores Texas Food Chains
What is a food web?
a series of organisms related by predator-prey and consumer-resource interactions; the entirety of interrelated food chains in an ecological community
The difference between food webs and food chains are that food webs are a lot of food chains and what eats what. OUR PREZI WAS ABOUT THE PINEY WOODS AND ITS ANIMALS AND FOOD CHAINS AND WEBS, CLAP IF YOU LIKE IT:) OK I KNOW YOUR NOT GOING TO CLAP SO CLAP, IF YOU LIKE MS. ALANIS, AND LETS SHOW HER SHE IS OUR FAVORITE TEACHER IN THE WORLD AND IF NOT WELL CLAP AND LIE TO HER:)
