the first civilization Mesopotamian life Mesopotamia was the first civilization that we know of. A civilization is a society that has rules,art,a writing program,class division,a government,religion, and an economy.Mesopotamia is located by the red sea,they chose this area to live in because the land was very fertile.Mesopotamia means "the land between the rivers" in greek.Mesopotamia is between the Tigris river and the Euphrates river. *priests
*upper class
*lower class
*slaves
Priests were very powerful and shaved their heads they were also doctors
Upper class people wore jewelry, long skirts (including the men) and curly mustaches
lower class people tried to dress nice but didn't dress.
