In about 50 years America will only add 140 million people, when in Africa will add about 1.2 billion people. Between the 140 million Americans they'll use about the same amount of carbon emission as those 1.2 billion in Africa If everyone lived like the average American we would need 4 more earths to provide the cars, food, clean water, space for houses and electronics. We reached 1 billion people in 1804 and 2 billion people 143 years later. From 6 billion people to 7 billion it only took us 13 years. That's 11 times quicker then the time it took us to get to 2 billion people. Solutions Become a Vegetarian -It takes 23 times more water to produce 1 tonne a beef then it does to make 1 tonne of grain -One acre to feed cattle and the cattle will only make about 123 pounds of beef tops. When it could make about 30 000 potatoes
