My favorite animal is any one you can name. I love them all! When I was little, I had any creature imaginable as a stuffed animal. But if I did have to choose one favorite, it would be horses since I've been riding them for 5 years. 2. One of my biggest fears is getting up on stage and singing alone. I am in choirs, but in choirs I sing with other people and the audience doesn't have their attention on only me. I signed up for choirs to get rid of my shyness. Disney Fanatic 3. From Main Street to Toon Town, from Snow White to Oz the Great and Powerful, I love Disney! I've been to Disneyland about 50 times already. Since I was about 6 years old, sometimes, when I go to Disneyland, I get one pin and keep it on a lanyard. I have 14 pins but I have lost a few and forget to get one on some trips. Every time we go to Disneyland, we spend a day in paradise. Another one of my favorite memories was when me and my family went to Lake Tahoe. Me, my sister, two of my cousins, my parents, and my aunt and uncle all shared one cabin by the lake. I had only been there one other time before, but my mom, dad and uncle where not there. We rode a gondola up and back down the mountain. At the top of the mountain was a small ski lodge, but we were there during the summer so there was no snow or skiers. We river rafted on the Truckee River. Since there were eight of us going, we had two rafts for all of us to share. One night, my mom, dad, aunt, uncle, and oldest cousin all wanted to go to a casino so me, my sister, and youngest cousin went to see Despicable Me in a theater. One of the days we were there, it was really hot so we went to the lake. The sand there was rocky and the water was cool and refreshing. My mom and I even went trail riding. We are the only ones in the family who like horse back riding so we went alone. On the last day we were at Lake Tahoe, my sister and I bought souvenirs to remember our trip. Jamie (my sister) got hair clips that change color in sunlight, and I got earrings shaped like horses. River rafting and trail riding were my favorite activities on vacation. Going to Lake Tahoe is one memory I will never forget. Important Events Lake Tahoe! One of my favorite memories is when my family and I, went to Kauai. Kauai is one of the smaller islands of Hawaii, but just as beautiful! Me, my sister, all of my cousins, my parents, and my aunt and uncle all split two small condos. This was my first time being at Kauai so everything was so new to me! We went to a plumaria farm and made our own laias instead of buying the cheap plastic ones they sell at the store. Hiking and snorkeling were two of my favorite activities to do on the island. When my whole family went hiking up a large mountain, I had to go to the bathroom badly and I wasn't going to pee in a bush, so my mom and aunt walked down the mountain so I could go in a porta-potty. I regret not going in a bush because the rest of the family had a blast. Snorkeling was really fun because I got to see tiny fish swimming in the water and small crabs in a crack in a rock. Other than that, I don't remember much of our trip to Kauai. Kauai Important Events Another one of my favorite memories was when me and my family went to Lake Tahoe. Me, my sister, all of my cousins, my parents, and my aunt and uncle all shared two small condos. we went to a plumera farm and made real layas instead of buying the cheap, plastic ones they sell in stores. We went hiking on a big mountain, but half way up, I had to go to the bathroom and I wasn't going to pee in a bush. My mom and aunt walked me back down the mountain so I could go in a porta-potty. I regret not going in a bush because everyone else had a blast. We went snorkeling and I found a lot of tiny fish swimming in the water along with small crabs crawling in a crack of a rock. I don't remember much of this trip but the things I do remember were fun! Kauai Life Challenges Stage Fright! Another one of my biggest fears is falling of a horse. I ride horses every Saturday and I am always scared of falling off. When I was eight years old, I fell off of a horse named Lance. I could barely breathe for a couple of seconds, I hurt my elbow, and I didn't know what was happening until I hit the ground. Ever since then, I've been afraid of falling off a horse. Being afraid is keeping me from doing the things I love like jumping on a horse, for instance, but I'm afraid. Talents and Awards Person of inspiration My sister, Jamie, is the greatest person in my world. I chose her to be my person of inspiration because she is funny, smart, artistic, good company, and she inspires people every day, especially me. She can be mean or annoying at times but other than that, I’m lucky to have her as my sister. Some kids come to middle school unprepared for what to do if someone bullies them, but my sister says that whenever someone tries to harm me, she’ll have my back. She also keeps me from being bullied too by telling me what to do or what not to do. Jamie is also one of the only people I can trust and be myself with or comfort me in times of need. She is also why I love art. When I was in kindergarten, I thought Jamie was the most artistic person in the world, so I tried to copy her drawings. Eventually, I started to put my own flair to my artwork and just recently, I won an award for one of my paintings. My sister is the best gift anyone could ever wish for. Mrs.Brandy is my teacher and inspiration for five years. She is my favorite horse riding teacher out of all of the ones I've had over the years. One of my life challenges is being afraid of falling off my horse and jumping a horse can be scary for me. But when I do jump, I feel fantastic. Mrs. Brandy urges me to open up and not get so nervous at the jump. She is funny too. When she is telling me what not to do, instead of yelling, she says funny jokes. Mrs. Brandy knows I'm scared so she takes me to my goals one step at a time. Mrs. Brandy Jamie Art! One of my talents is art! I've drawn every day since kindergarten. When I was in kindergarten, I thought my sister was the most artistic person in the world, so I tried to copy her drawings. Eventually, I started to put my own flair to my artwork and just recently, I won an award for one of my paintings. Horse Back Riding As you've read, you probably read something about me riding horses. I have been riding at Quail Haven Farm for six years now that I am 12. Before I came to Quail Haven, my grandma had two horses I used to ride every time I visited her up in Tameqlia. My grandma is the reason why I love horses so much. Art award! Last summer, I entered my first painting into a Del Mar art contest. My painting won first place! towards the back of the fairgrounds, a big white tent was put up. All of the paintings that were entered were placed inside so all of them could be seen. Horse Riding Ribbons Every year in the summer, at my horse back riding stables, a bunch of the girls that take lessons at Quail Haven Farm all go to horse camp. On our last day, we hold competitions for riding skills and and other fun activities. I received 10 ribbons for the games and for my riding skills. Future Aspirations Art teacher Stable Manager One of my future aspirations would be owning a horse ranch and giving lessons there. I would charge people to have lessons and dock their horses at the stables. With the money I earn, I'll pay for horse food, advertizing, and employees. Falling Off! Dirt Biker When I was little, I used to go dirt biking out in the desert. My sister and I shared a little ATC (or three wheeler) that we would ride. I still have my customized shirt and helmet. I haven't ridden in so long, last time I did go out riding, I was probably eight! I hope we go again sometime soon! Another one of my future aspirations is to become an art teacher. I'll probably open an art studio and make people pay for lessons. with the money I'll earn, I will pay for art supplies, photography books (so the students can paint the pictures inside), and canvases.
