Present a double page of information that can be used to create your design.
2 drawings - Careful colourful copies
Images from internet
Copy the section of the drawing. Lightly sketch in pencil and finish with biro or fine liner pen.
Create a design for your textile piece.
American Artist living and working in New York, born in 1971.
Best known for his paintings of abstract fish.
Sees his paintings as a personal journey through the use of the basic elements of
Transfer design onto calico fabric
Ink body of fish
Ink background of fish
Full page drawing of your fish body shape
Add fins and tail
Add patterns inside body, fins and tail
Add character to your fish with the eye and mouth
Colour your fish, showing areas of blended colour
Add a background in watercolour
Watery lines and marks
Draw a circle on your piece of calico and draw around it as shown
Ink inside the circle, start with one colour and blend to a second colour
Ink the background areas, trying different colours and techniques.
Draw a circle on your piece of fabric. Write your name on the back.
In side the circle, start with one colour around the edge and slowly blend to a different colour in the middle.
Leave a tiny gap outside the circle and blend from dark to light at the edges by adding water.
Creative writing of 'Fish' for title.
Useful and carefully selected images.
Careful and controlled use of colour pencils.
Work is presented neatly and with thought.
Collect 4 images of fish on one A4 page.
Complete your research page with title, boarder, images, drawings and colour.
