ZETA History of Our Sorority Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated Founded on January 16, 1920 on the campus of Howard University in Washington, D.C. by five women known as Our Five Pearls. These five honorable women sought to establish an organization that would be founded on 4 principles: Scholarship, Service, Sisterly Love, and Finer Womanhood. While Blazing New Paths..." Pi Nu in Action Gamma Lambda Chapter Zeta Firsts The sorority was the first Greek-letter organization to charter a chapter in Africa (1948).
Zeta Phi Beta was also the first to form adult and youth auxiliary groups: the Pearlettes, Amicettes, Archonettes, and Amicae. We are the FIRST and ONLY sorority that is constitutionally bound to a brother organization:
PHI BETA SIGMA Fraternity, Inc. AND..... Stork's Nest:
Program which provides information and resources to young mothers, so they can take quality care of themselves and their babies.
March of Dimes:
Since 1971 Zeta Phi Beta has enjoyed a partnership with this organization.
