I UNDERSTAND WHAT sensory VOCABULARY IS.
I CAN THINK of MY own sensory VOCABULARY.
I CAN WRITE A sensory description USING A VARIETY OF SENSORY VOCABULARY.
What is the link between these words?
It is important to appeal to the five senses to make your writing more interesting.

Starter:
Mystery bag task!
Organise the CARDS into the 5 senses of:

Touch
taste
sound
smell
sight
Stretch it
: In each group, organise your words from most to least ambitious!
Using a pencil, draw around your hand to create an outline. This is a 'senses hand'.
Each finger (or thumb) represents one of the 5 senses!
TASK:
As you watch the clip, imagine you are one of the people in the video and jot down what you might hear, see, smell, touch or taste.
Word Pyramid
Pick ONE word from you senses hand and try to improve it using the word pyramid.
Quickly sketch out this pyramid into your books.

as much sensory detail as possible.
Write in your books where you think you are currently.
