Medical Marijuana Should it be legalized ? What is Medical Marijuana ? Medical Marijuana is the use of the cannabis plant for the use of medicene or herbal therapy. However a physicians reccomendation is required to gain access to medical marijuana. What benefits does it have ? Medical cannabis has been proven to be a valuable aid with pain relief that are caused by certain diesease and health conditions such as Cancer
Nasuea and anxiety
Epilepsey's / Seizures
and many more

It's also known to be a powerful apptite stimluant (A.K.A. munchies). This is especially helpful for patients who are on chemotherapy, where the desire to eat is diminished. Should it be legalized ? Medical marijuana is only allowed in 14 states currently these states are Alaska
New Jersey
New Mexico
Rhode Island
Washington Each state has their own specific rules and regulations. However even though patients and dispensaries have proper documentation. The federal government does not recognize the state law of the legalization of marijuana. So then the DEA (Drug enforcement Adiministration) has been arresting patients and closing down dispensaries What do you think ? State law VS federal law My standpoint I believe that medical marijuana should be legalized but for medical purposes ONLY 3 reasons why

1) Creates jobs
2) Makes marijuana less accessable to teens and kids
3) Clears up jail cells for violent criminals
Medical Marijuana is commonly obtained in dispensaries According to NORML "The total number of marijuana arrests in the U.S. for 2006 far exceeded the total number of arrests in the U.S. for all violent crimes combined, including murder, manslaughter, forcible rape, robbery and aggravated assault." majority of the people getting arrested are medical marijuana patients. According to HRN services a health services support organization created by nurses. The conducted a study with HIV patients using medical cannabis to relieve pain. There were 55 patients in total. 28 randomized patients had placebo ciggarrettes, while the other 27 had marijuana. During the first day 34% of the patients who had marijuana reported pain relief, while only 17% reported that they felt pain relief. The Second day the total number of patients who felt pain relief from the use of marijuana increased to 50% versus an 3% increase for the placebo group. On the last day 78% of the marijuana patients felt pain relief, while the placebo group had no increase in reported pain relief. The rest of United states does not allow any type of marijuana. Being caught with it results in a misdemeanor or civil citation.
