Matt White In 1877 Thomas Edison invented the first machine(the phonograph) which could record and play sound using 2 needles :O. The first words he recorded were "Mary had a little lamb." First invention The Gramophone was invented by Emile Berliner. He was the first person to stop recording on wax cylinders and started on flat disks. The first tune to be recorded was "Twinkle twinkle little star." Gramophone MP3 In 1909 the stop making wax cylinders as flat disks are more popular. Answering Machines Mr. willy muller invented the answering machine . This was very popular for orthodox Jews because they are forbiden to answer the phone on sabbath.
