Eisenhower to break off diplomatic relations with Cuba in January 1961, and because the U.S was trying to overthrow the Cuban dictator. To stop communism from reaching our country. We got to invade CUBA!!!!!! The bay of pigs invasion was an unsuccessful military invasion of Cuba undertaken by the paramilitary group Brigade 2506. April 17,1961 Richard M. Nixon proposed it,Dwight D. Eisenhower planned it, Robert F. Kennedy championed it, John F. Kennedy approved it, and the CIA who carried it out :'(..... what was the outcome of the invasion? Where? southern coast of Cuba. The positions of the two (or more) sides of the conflict. They paid a major price of $53 million in food and medical supplies and global embarrassment. What countries were involved? The united states, Cuba, China, and the soviet union!!!!!!!!
