POVERTY
By: Nabeel Muhammad
Poverty is about not having enough money to meet basic needs including food, clothing and shelter. However, poverty is more, much more than just not having enough money. What else is poverty about?
Poverty is not going to school
Poverty is hunger.
Poverty is lack of food.
Poverty is lack of shelter.
Poverty is being sick and not being able to see a doctor.
Poverty is not having enough water to use.
Poverty is not having clothes to wear.
Poverty is not having electricity.
There are many types of poverty like:
GLOBAL
EXTREME
ABSOLUTE
Relative
No matter what the name is all poverty is the same, because people SUFFER IN POVERTY.
Relative poverty is when a persons way of life and income is way worse than the general standard or their country or region
Absolute, also refers to extreme poverty, is where people lack basic needs for living.
For example:
Global the poverty is poverty that occurs in the lives of people all around the world, the yack all the needs a person needs to survive.
The Effects of Poverty
nearly half of the world’s population — more than 3 billion people — live on less than $2.50 a day. More than 1.3 billion live in extreme poverty (less than $1.25 a day).
1 billion children around the world are living in poverty. According to UNICEF, 22,000 children die each day due to poverty.
165 million children under the age 5 were stunted due to chronic malnutrition. this means their bodies reduced rate of growth and development.
A quarter of all humans live without electricity. This is approximately 1.6 billion people.
More than 19 million children worldwide are not vaccinated each year.
The world has seven billion people and
80% of the worlds people live on less than ten dollars a day.
This means 19 million innocent children have not gotten any vaccinations in their body to help protect them from horrendous diseases.
Polio
Measles
Mumps
Hepatitis B
For example:
Most people think poverty enters people's lives because they do not have enough money to feed themselves or enough money get a home.
It would be great to have so many of these people that are living in poverty to become doctors, layers or engineers, and have jobs that can easily make their lives literally jump out of the poverty line, but these types of jobs require time and a lot of money.
YOU CAN HELP
Donate to organizations like:
The real cause of poverty is lack of education. Since the people lack education they do not have jobs, which mean they are not getting any income for basic living needs like food, shelter, or clothes.
Education is The Key to Success
870 million people worldwide do not have enough food to eat.
19 billion innocent kids have no parents or care takers because they have died due to the severe living conditions they were living in.
315,000 mothers die every year while giving birth because they have not gotten the proper treatment while they were pregnant, and hve not gotten the right amount or food their body need to keep themselves and their baby alive.
Fighting Poverty with Education
Did You Know :
113 million people are not able to attend primary school
246 million children who could be attending secondary school do not.
1 billion lack the ability to read and write
We need to help create easy jobs so that people do not need to work hard earning their way up to the job.
We already have 796 million people in the world that are illiterate, and we do not want these number to rise because one whole nation can be poverty stricken when its people lack education.
It is up to you to help them!
Meat is a luxury that even people that do not live in poverty sometimes cannot afford. Most people living in poverty are most likely to eat fruits and vegetables because they are items that can easily be found.
Agriculture. Agriculture is the key to success for the 1.4 billion people living in poverty.
YOU MUST HELP!
Because our brothers, and sisters in poverty need you to help them raise out of poverty.
Donate to organizations like:
Salvation Army,
Red Cross,
World Vision,
United Nations
And make images like these:
AN ITEM
OF
THE
PAST!
Be the change that you wish to see in the world.”
End poverty by helping educating those who need it most. Donate money, time, and knowledge.
