About the Song:
Her song "I'm Gonna Love You Through It" became a critical and commercial hit, peaking at number 4 and becoming her first top five hit since 2006.
Content of the Song:
The song is about a 38-year old woman who is supported by her husband while battling breast cancer. The subject of the song(the woman) survives. Co-writer Sonya Isaacs' inspiration for the song was her own mother, Lily who is a breast cancer survivor. For this project you were assigned to search for a song that has deep and meaningful lyrics. Not only did the song have to have meaningful lyrics, but the lyrics also had to have some type of connection or importance to you. I decided to share with everyone a song that has a very significant story line, and expresses love, perseverance, strength, and hope. If you have never heard the song before; prepare to be inspired. It will leave you feeling very thankful, and grateful to be as healthy and lucky as we all are. What you are about to listen to is a song called "I'm Gonna Love You Through It" by Martina Mcbride. Martina is a middle-aged country singer and song writer, who sings beautiful, inspiring, and deep music. Her song "I'm Gonna Love You Through It" that I decided to share with you is about women with cancer and how they fought and survived the horrible illness. If your wondering how and why this song might be important and meaningful to me; I am about to explain. My friend Emma is fourteen, plays hockey, is a great athlete, and lives in London. A couple years ago her mother was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. If you did not know Pam (her mother) you would have never thought she was a cancer patient. Everyday she battled, kept her head held high, lived to the fullest, and I am sure she hoped for the best. Emma has two sisters; Jessie who is eleven, and little Addi who is only two-and-a-half years old.
Pam held on tight for two years...but unfortunately the cancer grew and had started to spread and she wasn't able to beat it. She lost her battle on April 16th, 2012. Emma, Jessie, and Addi were left with great memories, and many pictures. Two months later: It seems like their family is doing very well even though the girls no longer have a mother figure in their lives. I am sure they find strength knowing their mom is looking down on them. Introduction Where are they now? Connection: Video Clips No Lyrics Lyrics I would like to conclude by saying that this song is important to me because it reminded me of the situation Emma and her family went through and how important it was to them. It is important to know that in these types of situations support, hope, and love is greatly appreciated. Conclusion:
