Transcript of Real Beauty
Romans 12:2 World = Cosmos A system of things and ideas. Satan Satan is the ruler of this world. He uses it's system of things and ideas to deceive and to entrap us into believing His lies. When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. Genesis 3:6 The problem with beauty comes when we put undue emphasis on our external appearance and determine our self worth and others based on how we measure up to the worlds beauty standards, not God’s. Beauty VS Attractiveness Beauty Attractiveness Beauty is established by God and is inseparable from truth and goodness. The mere delight of the eyes. "If I am beautiful, I will be secure, confident, happy, fulfilled. I will be popular, desirable, important, significant and I will know intimacy and true love."
Kimberly Davidson Your beauty should not come from outward adornment such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in GOD’S SIGHT

“What you are is God’s gift to you. What you do with yourself is your gift to God.” 1 Timothy 2: 9-10
Adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold pearls or costly clothing, but, which is proper for a women professing godliness, with good works. 2 Corinthians 5:20
we are ambassadors for Christ,
as though God were making an appeal through us... An official envoy; especially :
a diplomatic agent of the highest rank accredited to a foreign government or sovereign as the resident representative of his or her own government or sovereign. Is all External Beauty Wrong? We are God's representatives Ambassadors We develop wrong thinking about what makes us valuable. We buy the lie. "The best and the most beautiful things in the word cannot be seen or even touched.....they must be felt with the heart." Helen Keller Definition of an Ambassador We must know God if we are to imitate or portray him. "When a child of God looks into the word of God, She sees the son of God and is changed by the spirit of God into the image of God for the glory of God." We as christian woman should seek to reflect the beauty, order, excellence, and grace of God through both our outward and inner person. True beauty is internal True beauty is unfading "Therefore we do not loose heart though our outter man is decaying, our inner man is being renewed, day by day."
2 Corinthinans 4:16 Gentle
Spirit 1 Peter 3:3-5 Cori Tenboon They adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation. We develop true beauty when we cultivate God's Word in our lives. If we are God's representatives, then our outer appearance, must reflect the Christ like qualities of our inner person.
